I'm a Mexican-British language teacher with 10 years of experience in the field.

Back in 2016, just after finishing my degree in Hispanic Arts and Literature at the University of Guadalajara, I started my teaching journey in the UK. Since then, my path has been all about sharing language and culture, not just through grammar and vocabulary, but through connection, curiosity, and creativity.

I’m always exploring new teaching approaches across different areas to keep things fresh, relevant, and effective for my students. Because I believe great teaching starts with great empathy, I’ve been learning French myself to keep that student perspective close and to better understand the challenges (and little victories) my learners experience every day.

Who is Jezabel?

PERSONAL SPANISH

Since 2016, I’ve been helping individuals from the UK and the US connect with Spanish and with themselves through language. My work spans one-on-one and group sessions, from complete beginners to advanced speakers.

I’ve supported students navigating academic programs, professionals using Spanish in the workplace, future expats preparing for life in Spanish-speaking countries, and heritage learners reconnecting with their roots. Many come simply for the joy of the language or simple curiosity.

BUSINESS SPANISH

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with companies, delivering bespoke Spanish sessions to employees with different seniority levels covering team-wide workshops and tailored one-to-one coaching.

Experience

When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me tending my plants, hunting for the perfect interior piece, or listening to podcasts while tidying up.

I love organising gatherings for family and friends, birthdays, milestones, you name it. That includes cooking for hours which I completely adore

I share my days with two very cute (and demanding) dogs. One actually made the journey with me from Mexico.

When I created The Studio I wanted it to be more than just a Spanish classroom. My main aim was creating a gentle and welcoming space where people feel truly at ease.

That’s why I design every session around my students, their pace and personality, their passions, and the way they learn. Whether they'’re exploring vocabulary through a craft, a conversation, or a project, I’m here to guide them and celebrate every step.

For me, teaching isn’t just transactional; it’s relational. I see the teacher-student connection like any meaningful partnership: built on trust, care, and a shared journey. When you find the right teacher, it’s like finding the right shoes, they either fit or don't and that's what makes all the difference.
